Volunteers
Want to help run EuroPython? Join one or more of the mailing lists (europython-improve is currently where the organisers discuss most things), send a mail introducing yourself and indicating how you want to help out. Perhaps create an account on this Wiki (see the Participants page for details) if you want to update some of the content. (See below for information on administering content on this site.)
Current Activities
In preparation for the conference, a few activities are being undertaken. If you really want to make a difference, take a look at these and feel free to offer your assistance:
All major planning activities should be listed on the CategoryPlanning page.
Planning meetings are held regularly on IRC: see the Python Wiki page for more information. (Join #europython on freenode.)

Administering Content
Some content on this site is only editable by the organisers: this is mostly because certain kinds of information have to be reliable and not subject to change either by untrusted individuals or by people who are not in a position to decide certain things. For example, information on registration must contain payment information which ensures that registrants end up transferring money to the organisers and not some random person who is able to edit the site and insert details of their own account or payment site.
In order to support restrictions which let those involved edit pages within their mandate, a number of administration groups have been added:
AdminGroup - this is the "master" administration group which is able to edit most protected pages
ProgrammeAdminGroup - this group administers programme-related content, such as the Talks and Themes page
RegistrationAdminGroup - this group administers content related to the registration process, starting with the Registration page
SponsorAdminGroup - this group administers sponsor-related content, such as the Sponsors page
